VB Spine to Showcase X2 Headset and Vulcan System at NASS 2026
VB Spine LLC will showcase its xvision X2 headset and Vulcan Spinal System at the North American Spine Society’s (NASS) 41st Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas, from 14 to 17 October 2026. The company will exhibit the technologies at stand 701. The X2 headset is part of the xvision Spine System, an augmented reality surgical navigation platform, while Vulcan is a spinal fixation system designed for thoracolumbar procedures.
The xvision Spine System displays procedural information within the surgeon’s field of view while allowing the surgeon to maintain a direct view of the surgical field. VB Spine developed the X2 headset following feedback from surgeons who used its original Gen1 headset. The company introduced X2 through a limited market release in July 2026.
Since that release, surgeons have used the X2 headset in scores of cases. VB Spine is preparing for a full commercial launch later in 2026. The company plans to present the headset at the NASS meeting as it prepares for broader commercial availability.
The Vulcan Spinal System will also feature at the meeting. Designed in collaboration with surgeons, the system is intended to support fixation strength, surgical precision, and procedural efficiency while maintaining a streamlined operating theatre workflow. Its design combines implant geometry and instrumentation intended to address the developing demands of modern spine surgery.
Vulcan entered limited market release earlier in 2026 following its first clinical cases. VB Spine is preparing to launch the system more broadly. Its presentation at NASS will place the spinal fixation system alongside the X2 headset, which has progressed from its July limited market release to use in more than 60 cases.
The two products address different aspects of spinal surgery. X2 forms part of an augmented reality navigation platform that displays procedural information while preserving the surgeon’s direct view of the surgical field. Vulcan is designed to provide spinal fixation during thoracolumbar procedures. Both systems were developed with surgeon input, although their market introductions have followed separate timelines.
At the meeting, VB Spine will present the X2 headset and Vulcan Spinal System as part of its wider portfolio of spinal technologies. The event will take place from 14 to 17 October 2026, with the company exhibiting at stand 701 in San Antonio. The presentation comes as VB Spine prepares to launch both products more broadly, following the limited market introductions and initial clinical use the company described.
